Insute Blow-in Insulation
Insute blow-in insulation
Blown-in insulation is one of the most effective methods for improving the energy efficiency of double-shell masonry and sustainably reducing heat loss, as filling the cavity is what creates an effective insulation layer. Therefore, choosing the right insulation material is crucial.
Why the air in the cavity does not remain still
It is often argued that a narrow, non-ventilated cavity already provides sufficient insulation due to the layer of still air. In practice, this is not the case:
Even slight temperature differences between the inner and outer walls set air in motion within the cavity. The air in the cavity warms up against the inner shell and dissipates the heat to the outer shell. This convection transports heat outwards – an effect that is further intensified by leaks in the building envelope. Whilst pure convection is based on the temperature difference within the closed cavity, leaks allow for additional air exchange. As a result, the actual insulating effect is significantly lower than assumed in theory.
In the case of wider cavities or structures with open air spaces, this heat loss is further increased. Such areas therefore do not act as an effective insulating layer, and instead usually represent a significant energy weakness.
Blow-in insulation as an efficient solution
Professionally installed blow-in insulation permanently prevents this unwanted energy loss. The insulation material is precisely injected into the cavity wall through small drill holes. The process is:
- minimally invasive
- cost-effective
- usually carried out without scaffolding
- often completed within a day
- can be carried out whilst fully preserving the existing façade
By filling the cavity, the wall structure is thermally stabilized and its energy efficiency significantly improved.
More than just thermal insulation
Insute blow-in insulation has been specially developed for cavity walls and offers consistently high insulation performance. It ensures significantly greater living comfort and coziness, whilst reducing heating costs in the long term. As a modern, high-performance product, the material does more than just reduce heat loss. It also aids moisture regulation, thereby contributing to the longevity of the building structure.
Blow-in insulation with Insute – the only blow-in insulation material for cavities less than 4 cm
For a long time, narrow cavities were considered a major challenge for retrofitting insulation using the blow-in method. However, Insute technology now provides a high-performance material for blow-in insulation that reliably overcomes this challenge. Even in the case of complex wall constructions with gap widths of less than 4 cm, energy-efficient modernisation is possible – as the only approved blow-in insulation material for cavities as small as 1 cm, it reliably fills even the narrowest gaps.
Optimized for narrow gaps
Thanks to its precisely calibrated particle size, our insulation material is ideal for filling narrow wall cavities. Even the narrowest gaps are filled efficiently, uniformly and permanently – a key requirement for preventing convection and reliably minimizing heat loss.
An efficient addition to existing insulation systems
Another advantage is that the material is particularly well suited to completely filling cavities that have already been partially insulated.
If existing EPS or mineral wool boards are still intact, they can remain in the wall structure. The Insute insulation material is inserted to fill the gaps between the facing wall and the partial insulation, completing the remaining cavity to form a continuous, effective insulation layer.
Maximum insulation performance with minimum effort
Blow-in insulation using our Insute insulation material enables:
- optimal use of existing wall cavities
- a seamless, continuous layer of insulation
- a cost-effective, quick and long-lasting method
- insulation even in extremely narrow wall sections with cavities as small as 1 cm
This makes it the ideal solution for all applications where conventional insulation materials reach their limits.
