in terms of absorption capacity, flowability under high loading, or the controlled release of bound liquids. Capsute is based on a nanoporous polymer with pores in the nanometer range and a completely open-cell structure. This combination creates a strong capillary effect: Liquids are quickly absorbed, evenly distributed throughout the structure, and reliably bound as a “dry liquid.”

 

The open-porous structure also ensures high capacity and maintains the flowability of the material even under heavy loading.

 

In addition to its use as a carrier material for dry liquids in the rubber and plastics industry, Capsute also offers an effective solution in the field of microencapsulation.

Instant and Secure Absorption

Liquids are absorbed within seconds, much like a sponge, and firmly bound. The open-pore structure allows for a very high absorption capacity. This makes Capsute ideal for liquid absorption and ensures it remains free-flowing even under heavy loading. In this way, functional substances can be delivered quickly and easily in dry form.

Controlled Release

Depending on the application, the absorbed substances can be controlled and released over a defined period of time. Whether it involves immediate release during the production process or gradual release over several weeks, the material can be flexibly adapted to a wide range of requirements.

Flexible Particle Sizes

The nanoporous structure allows for customized grinding down to very fine particles. Even with the smallest particle sizes, performance is maintained without any loss of capacity.

Uniform Distribution

The fine-pored structure distributes liquids evenly throughout the individual particles. This ensures a uniform distribution of active ingredients in the final product.

Dry Liquids

For dry-liquid applications, Capsute enables the incorporation of liquid components into a dry, free-flowing powder. Its nanoporous structure reliably binds the liquid while maintaining the material’s flowability.

 

This allows additives or functional active ingredients to be precisely dosed, homogeneously mixed, and processed reliably. Capsute thus offers an efficient solution for formulations where liquid substances are required in dry form.

 

Microencapsulation

As a microcapsule, Capsute enables the rapid incorporation of liquid substances, such as fragrance or skincare components, which are evenly distributed through the material structure. The strong capillary forces facilitate immediate absorption when mixing or the substance is sprayed on.

 

The bound substances can be released in a controlled manner according to process requirements—either immediately or over extended periods. This makes Capsute particularly suitable for applications where a defined release of active ingredients or sensory-active materials is desired.
