KfW Funding

Blow-in insulation and KfW funding – achieving energy efficiency ratings and saving on renovation costs

The KfW grant is particularly attractive for homeowners who wish to achieve a new energy efficiency class through their renovation. Under the ‘Residential Buildings – Loan No. 261’ programme, you benefit from a low-interest loan and a repayment subsidy that significantly reduces renovation costs.

The higher the energy standard, the greater the repayment subsidy

part of the loan amount is waived upon completion of the renovation and does not need to be repaid.

KfW funding becomes particularly relevant when the desired energy efficiency class cannot be achieved using conventional insulation materials. By using high-performance insulation materials, the required performance standards can often be met after all, thereby reopening the path to KfW funding. The funding covers both material costs and labour costs and, depending on the scope of the renovation and the energy efficiency standard, can cover a large proportion of the costs.

The Comprehensive Renovation Roadmap

A comprehensive renovation plan drawn up by an energy consultant is recommended in order to make the most of individual opportunities and meet the funding criteria. In this way, blow-in insulation with KfW support is not only energetically sensible but also particularly attractive from an economic perspective – especially when innovative insulation materials are used and a higher energy efficiency class is targeted.
